Thlog Post

It's been a while since I've done a thlog post, listing things I am thankful to have, be, do, experience, and live.  Today I woke up profoundly thankful, so I decided to share it with you.

Among those things I count:

  1. My Hubster -  He woke me up this morning with a kiss and a hug.  I love the way this man SMELLS.  I know, it's weird.  Don't judge me, but I could just hug him and smell his head all day long.
  2. A warm, clean, wonderful bed - Because really, what's better than snuggling down under the covers or waking up all warm and cozy?
  3. Good coffee - With a little half-and-half, no sugar.  My mouth is watering right now at the thought of how that liquid gold slides down my throat and warms me from the inside out.
  4. The ability to see -  What beauty there is in the smallest of things!  The blooms on the pear trees in Spring, the faces of those I love, and vibrant colors...all things I would miss without sight.
  5. Old hymns -  Having grown up in a church that loved to sing, I know so many of the old-time hymns by heart.  And even though I'm in a church now that doesn't sing them, they continually come to mind.  I'll find myself humming or singing them all day.
So, what are YOU thankful for today?

I think you are the first person I meet who loves sniffing her husband, lol ! why should it be "weird" ? It's better than if you first had to throw a parfum bottle over him in the morning.

I love this list. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that are the most precious, but we don't always realize it. Although eyesight is not a "simple" thing, it is sometimes taken for granted. Thanks for reminding us!

I happen to like my husband's scent, too, but not coffee. :)

Definitely a fun list!

I know what you mean re the old hymns - I know all the words too, and in fact, even though we don't sing old ones often, last Sunday we sang "And can it be" and nearly lifted the roof off. At the end, the entire congregation burst into applause!

A clean warm bed is a real joy for sure. Glad you enjoy your hubby!
I too love to see all the little things out there. Ahh hymns...they will always stick to me, too.
Have a great weekend.

Oh i LOVE the old hymns!! our senior pastor actually has a "rule" that the director of music must include at least one hymn each week among the mix of contemp. There is NOTHING like the good ole hymns! this was a great list....I'm with ya on the coffee....MMmmmmm

How wonderful that you woke up grateful.

Thanks for sharing your list with us. Your #1 made me smile too. But why should that be weird? I love smelling baby heads.

I hope the rest of your week is FULL of things that bring you happiness and gratitude. :)
