A Night On The Town

In my many years on this earth I have learned one thing; food does not fix anything.

But it sure helps you feel better about not being fixed.

And so tonight HeyJules and I went out for a night of debauchery at a local bar and grill. We stuffed ourselves on quesadillas, fried mozzarella sticks and stuffed mushrooms. We enjoyed adult beverages. We discussed her need to control her finances in the coming year, my need to strangle my remaining parental unit, and solved the problems of the world as we know it.

It was Appetizer Heaven. On a stick.

Thanks, Jules. We all need a night like tonight now and then.

Even me.

Food - such a powerful aid to many a woe - this I know. I have been driving myself (and some friends) nuts for the last few days with trying to process some old emotional baggage - you know how you try and have your dots lined up for the new year (stupid concept). Anyhow, this morning I gave myself permission to do two things I usually don't do. First, I went back to bed and slept for 3 more hours. Second, when I woke I made up a rather large serve of fried rice and ate every last grain (that was dripping with butter).

Oh yes, I cracked open a can of Pepsi Max too!

The rice was totally therapeutic and the Pepsi - medicinal purposes - definitely!

The smile is still on my dial. Take care.
