Life, So They Say

Life, my friends, can be a not-very-kind place sometimes.

People you love do things you wish with all your heart they hadn't. You do things you wish with all your heart you hadn't.

And life? It just keeps rolling along.

Right now people I love are hurting. And I'm right there, hurting along with them.

There doesn't seem to be any solution to this problem now that won't end up damaging someone more than they've already been damaged. Lives and relationships will be forever changed.

And I hate it. Just as much as I love the participants in all of this, I hate it.

S and S, hold on. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but this will hurt less as time passes. It will never NOT hurt, but it will hurt less.

And I'm saying that as much for me as for you.

Because life goes on.
